I grew up surrounded by baking, so it was only natural that I started doing it myself. Box mixes were out of the question, while baking from scratch and decorating with all the frosting, sprinkles and embellishments you can imagine were customary activities in our house. 
 
Fast forward to the summer after college graduation, which I spent working about seven odd jobs. My favorite one by a long shot was my unofficial, word-of-mouth cupcake catering business. It was not profitable or scalable whatsoever after buying ingredients, decorations and boxes, but it was definitely fun and rewarding.

Soon after that, I entered the full time working world and I took a hiatus from the baking biz. While working at a website platform company, I’d often bring in treats for my coworkers and would be asked if I had a site of my own. As soon as the name came to me, I threw this together and started taking orders again.
